Legislative Day Scholarship Program
C.A.R.’s Legislative Day Scholarship program is back. This program was designed to help local associations bring new members to Legislative Day who have never experienced it before. The associations can be reimbursed a certain amount for bringing these “first-timers” to Sacramento for Legislative Day and the money can be used to help underwrite travel, hotel, and meals.

Here’s how it will work:
Timeline:
February 28– Initial registration open
April 4– Registration closes
April 22 2:00 p.m. or April 23 10:00 a.m. – Legislative Day 101 webinar. JUST ATTEND ONE.
Register for the Legislative Day 101 Webinar: Choose either April 22 at 2:00 p.m. OR April 23 at 10:00 a.m.
April 30 – Legislative Day
July 3 – deadline to submit final reimbursement form to C.A.R.
The fine print:
Only REALTORS® can be registered for this program.
- Attend the Morning Briefing and office visit on Wednesday April 30, 2025
- Attend a Legislative Day 101 webinar either April 22 or 23, 2025.
Scholarship Awards
Amount per scholarship:
Less than 50 miles Up to $50
51-150 miles Up to $100
151 miles-250 miles Up to $150
Greater than 250 miles Up to $225
Distance will be determined by distance between the physical address of the member’s local association and the Sacramento Convention Center as given by Google Maps.
Multicultural Legislative Day Scholarship
The C.A.R. Multicultural Legislative Day Scholarship is open to California REALTORS® who come from communities that are underrepresented within C.A.R. membership. Join us in Sacramento on April 29th for our Legislative Day Block Party and on April 30th for Legislative Day. You will be able to meet with your elected officials, enjoy great speakers and entertainment and network with REALTORS® from around the state. Scholarships are limited and on a first come, first served basis.To apply, please contact your local association of REALTORS®.
Amount per scholarship:
Less than 50 miles Up to $50
51-150 miles Up to $100
151 -250 miles Up to $150
Greater than 250 miles Up to $225
Who qualifies: First time Legislative Day attendees who are from communities that are underrepresented within C.A.R. membership.
How dispersed: This scholarship is a reimbursement to the local associations in order to help with travel costs, not to individual attendees.
Requirements of attendees: Attend morning briefing - 9am start, lawmaker office visit, Leg Day 101 webinar.
