Not only does the California Association of REALTORS® work to make sure the REALTOR® is the center of the transaction, the National Association of REALTORS® works together with us to help provide resources to aid with that goal.

Graduate, REALTOR® Institute (GRI)
We are happy to offer the NAR’s Graduate, REALTOR® Institute designation to C.A.R. Members. It’s a lifetime title that REALTORS® earn by completing a set of required classes to become an industry expert and supplement their existing wealth of knowledge. Considering today's market and sophisticated consumers, members need to have all the knowledge they can to be a client’s top agent. Become that expert by earning your GRI Designation.

How it Works
California members can earn the GRI by signing up for, and completing the required classes below:

1. C.A.R.’s GRI class series
   Sign up for these 6 classes on store.car.org.
2. 45CE (Continuing Education) classes
   Sign up for the appropriate FREE 45CE package on car.org.
3. CA Residential Purchase Agreement class
   Choose an Online Anytime RPA class or LearnMyWay® Webinar.

Complete the classes above in any order. Once all required classes are completed, your GRI Designation certificate is emailed to you automatically using the email address you provided at sign up.

Are you already renewing your real estate license with one of C.A.R.’s Member Benefit 45CE package? Once you complete those classes, that will count towards your GRI! You’ve already completed most of the classes required to earn your GRI at that point.

Of course, C.A.R. Members are entitled to the Member Price (half the non-member price) for all GRI classes as well! Sign in to store.car.org and make sure your membership is linked to receive all appropriate discounts.
